đŸ’ĻWatering and Withering

Water is an essential consumable in Project Forest. Without water, trees wither and die.

Trees need water to grow, without which they will wither and perish. Different types and grades of trees have different water-storage capacities and requirements. The water storage capacity is indicated by a progress bar, illustrated below each tree. When the progress bar is full, water cannot be used anymore. If the water storage is 0, the tree will wither and enter the stagnation stage after withering. Trees in the stagnant stage no longer produce O2 every day, but the growth proceeds normally, and the natural environment is also ineffective for trees in this state. Growth time progresses normally until after the player uses water.

There are two ways of using water in Project Forest. Players can water trees by using the one-click feature, which will water all the trees in need of water in the garden simultaneously, or by separately watering each tree. Through the latter, players will click on each tree and click the 'Watering Can' icon to water each tree individually.

After clicking the 'Watering Can' icon, the system will first analyze whether the particular tree needs water or not. The progress bar below a tree indicates how much water is available. In case a tree requires moisture, a pop-up window will indicate so. If you have enough water in your backpack, a pop-up window will confirm whether to apply the water to the tree. However, if you have insufficient water in your backpack, a pop-up window will prompt you to purchase water and show the total cost. If the O2 required is sufficient, you can complete the transaction. Once purchased, tap the 'Watering Can' icon again, and the same pop-up window will confirm whether to apply the purchased water to the tree.
