π³οΈGovernance
This section of the litepaper details the governance structure that Project Forest follows for authorizing the project's various community-related, economic, operational, and development decisions.
Project Forest has implemented a DAO governance in their ecosystem to promote decentralization and transparency within the community. Through the Forest DAO, the control of decision-making for Project Forest will be in the hands of the community. Since all the activities and votes will be posted on the blockchain through the DAO, members will be able to view all actions publicly.
$LEAF holders can propose and vote upon decisions affecting Project Forestβs protocol and overall ecosystem and approve on-chain decisions regarding non-technical issues. Such decisions can include changes to protocol parameters or a decision to accept a new concept of governance. Moreover, $LEAF holders are entitled to voting rights, and any $LEAF holder can submit a proposal for consideration by the wider Project Forest community.
